There Is No Life Without Books

The American educational reformer Horace Mann said: “A house without books is like a room without windows.”

And I totally agree with that.

If I think of my apartment, presently it is a room without a window. I am planning to move out soon, therefore I did not invest in bookshelves. All my books are in boxes and I truly hope that someday I will have a pretty, neat apartment of my own or at least a place where I can carry out some remodeling or make a few additions, in the form of bookshelves for instance. All I have now is wall art, which I love very much.

I’ve been googling the internet for handsome ideas in terms of how to make the most of small spaces and one of my favourite storage solutions is bookshelves built around doorways. They have such a strong impact on me, it feels like when passing through a doorway decorated with bookshelves, I am entering a brave new world or fairytale land. I feel like something is going to happen on the other side. How do you feel about that?

Let’s see a few doorways to Wonderland. I sourced them from Pinterest.
