The Metamorphosis Of A Stable

Conversion projects are always exciting and fascinating. Young couple Mette Marie and Casper found this amazing family stable in the beautiful Danish countryside and they have decided to turn it into a family home and use it also as a workspace. It’s a real blessing to live and work in the same place, being inspired by the calmness of your own home, the well-known corners, lovely details and familiar spots … and you can take a break from work any time. I’m not sure distraction from concentration is good, but I wouldn’t mind living in an environment like this at all.

Generous spaces, pared-back pieces and an overall calm atmosphere characterizes this lovely home. The greenery in the living area adds a touch of nature to it all. Oh, I love this place!

If I’m not mistaken, this beautiful clue sofa comes from IKEA and it’s called Södermalm.

Industrial combined with a little ethnic and boho chic is the happiest of choices in this space. The wooden structural elements and plants in the corner of the kitchen add a natural character to the pared-back black and white space.

I love beautiful ceramics and stylish kitchen accessories.

Looking at the gorgeous recycled dining table, one can see, that this family likes to have friends around for dinner.

No need for wall cabinets in a minimalist kitchen. Anyways, why do we need wall cabinets at all? Instead, fix a few stylish wall lamps to create a homey atmosphere and shed light on what’s important or beautiful. A similar wall lamp is available at House Doctor, here.

Lovely wall art and nice memories to inspire

Did anything in particular catch your attention? If I have to pick something, I would definitely choose the bedroom with that cosy bed with a couple of soft cushions and decorative throw.
