OMG! That Kakelugn Stove!

Gothenburg is one of the most beautiful cities in the whole of Scandinavia. Vast areas of the city are characterized by these fabulous multi-storey townhouses with beautiful period features, typical facades, thick walls, wide windowsills, massive frames, ornate staircases and a unique atmosphere. The apartment I chanced upon not too long ago is still for sale on the site of a Swedish realtor.

I don’t think you will be surprised by the interior, because I am showing something I really like and by now you might have familiarized with my taste. It is a calm, serene and very inviting apartment of about 60 sqm, perfectly fine for one or two people. It has a focal point though: the fabulous kakelugn stove restored to its original glamour! Oh, how I’d love to snuggle by that fire.

Light-flooded rooms, a relaxing and minimalist bedroom – mind you, I love the poster – and taking the virtual tour I tend to put the same question again and again: do we really need more when it comes to the size of our living space? The answer is definitely: NO. Let’s see it.
