Danish Design And Farmhouse Furniture In A Scottish Estate

Once upon a time, far in the Scottish countryside, there was a beautiful farmhouse on a 4,000-acre immense estate, owned by Mrs. Sandison. The name of the estate is Killiehuntly and it dates back as far as the 1850s. It is a most happily situated getaway place, today owned by a Danish couple.
As a result of busy restoration work, the farmhouse has become a luxury lodge also available for rent. Inside, several pieces belonging to the late owner were kept, because they were so beautiful and the current owner paired them up with the best of Danish designer pieces by Hans Wegner or Børge Mogensen and lots of beautiful wall colours, golden lamps, warm textiles and lambskins and that fantastic wood floor to soften the décor. The interior looks quite masculine, yet calming, but it stays true to the original atmosphere and the raw beauty of this fairytale land.

Shall we take the tour?
