I have been absent for quite a long time here and I really do apologize for that. The only excuse I have is that December is a very busy month in terms of work for me as well. And I have so much to write about, so many topics are lining up in my “to write about” list.
I was thinking of starting with a very easy one.
When I was a kid, we always used to have traditional Christmas trees, there was no celebration, no family feast without the big beautiful green fir in the corner of the living room.
As years have passed, I decided to downsize a bit. Last Christmas we had this tiny little Nordmann fir, a perfect little cone, which – I think – is one of the most beautiful trees in the world. Fir is basically my favourite, because it is evergreen.
This time the period before Christmas is going to be even busier than last year, so I don’t think we’re going to make it to the tree market. Instead, we will simplify things and do our best to have a really peaceful, hygge time at home, enjoying the season and uploading our batteries for the coming year. For that reason, I was thinking about using a simple tree branch in a pretty bottle and decorate it with a few simple ornaments. We have candles, tealights and light strings, so that’l do. Let’s see a few examples.
