The Beautiful Home Of Susanna Vento

I have been an avid follower of everything happening on Finnish stylist Susanna Vento’s page and I think I could recognize her works even among hundreds because of their moody character. She works quite a lot with Marimekko – I liked the calm table settings she did for the 2018 autumn-winter collection of the Finnish brand – and I also loved her styling work for Kekkilä, especially the vegetable bouquet, check it out.

The way she decorated her own home is unsurprisingly similar to the assignments she has. Scrolling slowly through the pictures on her page felt like reading the beautifully composed verses of a poem. If I want to describe this interior, I would use the words soft, warm tones, peace and quiet, harmony, still life and serenity. Even the lovely picture of her daughter playing with the family’s cat resembles a painting.

Let’s step inside.

I like the flow of the spaces and would love to have a door like that. Togetherness and intimacy.

The DAGG vase is one of my favourites.

The Beni Ourain rug and the shiny light grey floor are in perfect harmony.

Monika Mulder’s pendant and the fine Thonet dining chairs make such a nice combination.

Books and decorative objects lie in neat order.

A relaxing corner with a thonet rocking chair

She is a master of still life photography.

The pretty Lisabo table from IKEA is made of beautiful birch so typical of the Finnish landscape.
