Reused Shipping Containers

Living off the grid is always a challenge. One of the best examples in this field is reused containers. A few years ago people realized that the idea of a weekend getaway place can be brought to new heights by turning used shipping containers into cosy summer cabins. Sustainability and recycling has never been so important and so in the focus like it is now. Which means, that there is a fast growing tendency to reuse and convert these huge boxes actually into living spaces. And not just living spaces. There are youth hostels, cafés, commercial spaces and other fantastic “reincarnations” of shipping containers. Nowadays we minimize, recycle, reuse, upcycle, repurpose and that does not mean we are waving goodbye to a lot of things. On the contrary, we develop an eye for new opportunities.
I’ve rounded up a few great examples, let’s see them.
