Still talking about summer, after an island retreat in the Stockholm Archipelago, let’s hop over to Denmark, more precisely Sjælland, to Venddige Bakker, where our hosts this time are a young Danish family of four. The fantastic minimalist style summer villa was designed by Oslo-based HD Arkitekter (I’ve been following and admiring their work for quite a while now).
It is a sleek house supported on one side by concrete pillars, but looking at the pictures, it nearly melts into the environment. A minimalist house of a clean geometric shape, with understated interiors.
The owners love to travel the world, but they were very much into having a sanctuary of their own, where they can hide from the hustle and bustle of city life and have a truly relaxed time among the beautiful objects they have collected during their travels to faraway, exotic and fairy-tale lands.
Let’s take the tour.
