Indresund – An October Bike Trip

Hello there,
How’s the weather like over there? Here we are gradually shifting towards chilly and possibly more gloomy autumn days and definitely lower temperatures. Nevertheless, there are a few hours during daytime when both temperatures and the weather permit shorter trips in the neighbourhood either by car or bike. It is nearly always windy by the coastline and I love to discover the sea and the beautiful view in different kinds of weather, because both the sky and the sea change colours. My favourites are deep hues, “angry clouds” and foamy waves. Yesterday, after finishing off work, I was lucky enough to experience a different face of my favourite spot Indresund. I grabbed my bike and set off a little after 4 pm.

As I was descending from the forest, just before reaching the bridge that connects Indre Ulvoya with the mainland, there are huge rocks on both sides of the road, giving perfect protection from the wind. But as I was coming out from that “rock corridor”, a huge wind blast nearly knocked me over. Luckily, I managed to ride on without falling. A few meters away I parked the bycicle and climbed to the top of the rocks to have an undisturbed view of the October sea. It was wonderful.

I took the pictures about one hour before sunset.

See you soon.
