Does the name Indre Ulvøya ring a bell to you? Most probably not. Or only to a very few of you. The lucky ones, who live on the island, those who picked this wonderful spot as a chillout basis and spend their weekends and summers there and myself, the cycling enthusiast.
They say Indian summer and autumn in Norway are amazing. I think they can be amazing everywhere. It’s a blessing that nature, before retiring for a long winter sleep, indulges us with an array of unbelievably beautiful and warm colours. I don’t mind the chilly mornings at all. They are so refreshing, yet followed by balmy early afternoons.
Now, that’s the time of the day that I love to spend cycling, provided I don’t have other commitments. Two days ago we had an invitingly warm afternoon, so I decided to go on a longer bike trip again and find new roads to the sea. The archipelago, or Skjærgården is such an exciting area with so much to discover. There is Indre Ulvøya and Ytre Ulvøya. The latter is accessible by boat only, but there are fantastic views also from the inner island. If I go up to the top of a hill or rock, I could wave at my daughter, who lives on the opposite coast.
Let’s see the pics.
Oh my my, I can’t wait to hop on the bike again …
