The weather in southern Norway has been a real treat so far. We’ve had an unusually hot May-end and June temperatures were also higher than usual, so I decided to have a day off tomorrow and enjoy the perks of living in a perfectly calm place by the sea!
Nevertheless, every now and then I long for city life, a little buzz, if you know what I mean. To walk out the door of my apartment, meet friends, sit outside a café and watch people walk by, go to the theatre or just enjoying a night out.
Gothenburg is one of the places I like most and browsing the Internet for some interior inspiration, I stumbled across this lovely, feminine apartment in one of the best areas of the city and offered for sale by the renowned Swedish realtor Stadshem. The apartment is in a historical, 19th century townhouse and has all the beautiful, original features of the period: high ceilings, that enlarge the space and add to the grandeur of the interiors, original double doors, stuccos and the beloved old kakelugn stove that so many Swedish townhouses have. The apartment has undergone a massive renovation in 2005 and further alterations in 2012. The result is and exclusive milleu in soft, light tones, decorated with simple, yet elegant pieces. Let’s take the tour.
