Back to Iceland

Another sunny and perfect end-of-summer day here in Budapest. I love this time of year so so much. Acceptable temperatures during daytime and cool nights, perfetto!

Let’s take a short break from Denmark now and fly to Iceland to cool off a bit again. We’ve been there before, remember? I showed you this lovely cottage. This time I want to show you one of the amazing houses completed by my favourite Icelandic interior designer Rut Káradóttir. Rut has a great book entitled INNI, a beautiful album full of her works, amazing Icelandic interiors mirroring both inside and out the beauty and wildness of this country’s natural assets. The book is available only in Icelandic, but I think I have to have it. Icelandic interiors can be rarely seen in albums. And these are also available to rent, if I’m not mistaken. So let’s see the first: the Black House in Borgarnes.

I love the color scheme. Be back soon with more.
