A Labour Of Love In Småland

Autumn is the most wonderful season of the year, if you ask me. Nature wears its most colourful gown, celebrating harvest, crops, enchanting us with a myriad of warm tones, before retiring for a few month for its beauty sleep under the thick white coat.

Looking at the pictures of this family weekend home in Småland is making me want to move to that fantastic place in an instant. I want to be part of that too. I want to experience autumn in Småland, pick mushrooms, cook them in that cosy kitchen, walk the dogs on those beautiful forest trails covered in a thick and soft layer of leaves, sit by the fire with a cup of hot chocolate and dream away in one of the cosy beds.

For owner Emma Lindquist – interior blogger, Instagrammer – and family, this was a real labour of love. They are the kind of people who will not lock down the weekend home just because summer is over. They want to make the best of what they possesss. Chancing upon this old school building was like winning the lottery. Emma has always been dreaming of having a second home with high ceilings, generous spaces and a special atmosphere. Now she has it all. Let’s take a look inside:
