A Fantastic Open Plan Kitchen In New York

Hello there, how was your day? Mine actually quite dull, except for the few hours I had to spend with unboxing the most recent delivery from abroad. It was a real treat, because it feels a little like Christmas every time, especially when I order something I have never seen before. And today on the menu there was coffee, appetizers, sweet treats and kitchen utensils. My favourite stuff. With respect to eating, of course. As for food preparation, I am not a great talent. Still, I enjoy cooking very much, but baking is quite a difficult area. I have a few favourites, such as Swedish cardamom rolls, which I consider myself really good at, but beyond that there is plenty of room for improvement. I mean, if there’s a recipe, I am ready to try out just about anything, but I am not always content with the outcome. Speaking of the kitchen, I chanced upon this exciting place today. It is located in New York and founded by a restaurateur and a ceramicist and chef. A place where the process of learning to cook is fun and interactive and all this is done in an extremely pleasant and stylish atmosphere: an open plan kitchen with all the utensils at hand and a very long table which brings together many people. The Nordic twist in it is that some of the tableware and glassware come from IKEA. The last two pics are a documentation of the original status.

I’d love to be part of a cooking club like this. What about you?
